Office for Sport

The sports function in PM&C will ensure strong collaboration and links across a number of portfolios which are impacted by sports, sports participation, the bidding for and hosting of major sporting events. Recent major policy areas include the policing of match fixing and corruption in sport on a global scale.

The Office for Sport works closely with the Australian Sports Commission, Australian Sports Foundation and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority on the development of Australian sport through increasing participation; strengthening sporting pathways; and ensuring Australia’s continued success in international competition.
