Director of new 50/50 by 2030 Foundation,  journalist and women’s rights advocate Virginia Haussegger gave keynote address to PM&C for International Women’s Day on Thursday 9 March.

Virginia encouraged people to see International Women’s Day as a time to celebrate, but to also “reflect on the past and give thanks to those on whose shoulders we stand”.

“Ambition has no gender” she said, speaking on the topic of women’s representation in leadership positions, touching on her work as Director of the new ‘50/50 by 2030 Foundation’ at the University of Canberra and as editor of the blog ‘Broad Agenda 5050,’ established to promote the work of academics, researchers and engaged citizens  in the public sphere.
