Welcome to the Cabinet Implementation Unit
The Cabinet Implementation Unit is part of the Strategic Policy and Implementation Group within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. The Unit was established in October 2003 to help the Prime Minister and the Government manage and deliver the Government's strategic reform priorities, including reporting to the Prime Minister on progress with the delivery of these priorities across the Australian Public Service.
The Unit employs staff with a breadth of experience across a range of policy and program areas.
Implementation planning is an integral part of the process in delivering successful strategic priorities and programs. It has a focus on developing targets and timeframes in monitoring, measuring and evaluating progress, to achieve early resolution to issues that may have a negative impact on delivery.
