PM&C's executive assistants (EAs) provide crucial support for our SES officers and staff in all divisions. They provide vital assistance to our senior leadership, ensuring they can respond effectively to the demands placed upon them in a busy central agency.
Flexibility and commitment were named by several EAs as among the more important qualities needed to do their jobs well. With their broad backgrounds and experiences, our EAs are well-suited to the diversity of their responsibilities at PM&C.
When asked about their most challenging or interesting tasks, the varied answers of our EAs revealed all. Kate Trethewey in the Corporate Services Division listed 'Trying to schedule meetings for some very busy people! Getting calendars to align is sometimes an interesting task '. Nicole Lamson, who works to support Associate Secretary Paul Grimes, 'worked under pressure and against the clock ... to assist in finalising paperwork for the new incoming Minister for Population'. Selina Watson in the Industry, Infrastructure and Environment Division said that she has 'enjoyed every day and moment that she has worked at PM&C', but one of her more challenging tasks is ensuring staff morning tea leftovers are saved on the occasions when one particular SES officer misses the vital event!
