The output for Group 3 covers policy advice on international issues, including trade, defence, aid, security and intelligence issues.
In December 2000, the department restructured Output Group 3 and Output Group 4. As a result of the restructure, Output Group 4 was given functional responsibility for the Ceremonial and Hospitality Unit (CERHOS) and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2001 Task Force.
Output 3.1
As of 30 June 2001, Output Group 3 comprised one output and functionally consisted of International Division.
Output Group 3 reports directly to the Secretary.
